iPad iOS Update

Hello 8th grade teachers -

For the past couple weeks, the Tech Dept has tested Apple’s new iOS (which is now at version iOS 9.0.1 to fix some bugs).  We’ve also given permission to certain 8th grade students to upgrade to iOS 9 to try to solve a problem of not being able to download certain iWorks apps (such as iMovie).  It appears that it is stable enough that we can allow students in the 1:1 Program to update their iPads.  I highly recommend they do this at home to avoid using massive amounts of bandwidth at school.  There are advantages to everyone being on the same version of the iOS (and hence, the same version of various apps which have been updated to be compatible), so during Panther Time, please instruct your students to update the iOS to 9.0.1 at home.  Then there will be fewer problems going forward.
