Panther Time Slides for Tuesday

Hi all,

You can access the slides we created for Panther Time tomorrow (Tuesday, October 6th) here. Slides 1-4 address the three steps listed below. Slides 5-9 show how to update the operating system to 9.0.2 if you or your students need those steps.

These are the things we’re asking you to review with your students:

1. Please have all students update the Google Drive app to the latest version (available as of 10/1), which is supposed to resolve recent issues.
2. Please have all students update the Airwatch Agent app (called “Agent”) to the latest version, which is required for iOS 9.0.2.
   • The app updates in steps 1 and 2 may not complete by the end of Panther Time.  This should not be a problem because the apps will finish downloading when the student next connects to a WiFi network.
3. Please have all students go to Settings > App and iTunes Stores, and make sure that the Updates button is “ON” (green) under Automatic Downloads. The other three items under that category should be “OFF.”  This should fix most instances when a student is asked for a password to update apps. After this step, there may still be some students who are asked for a password (related to the bug mentioned above), and in this case, they must email iPadSupport@mvschools.org so that we can fix the issue.
