Hello Eighth Grade Teachers!
I know you are still enjoying the last week of your summer vacation, but I wanted to give you a few more details about our iPad training next week.
The eighth grade session will run from 8:30-3:30 on Thursday, with a break for lunch on your own from 11:30-12:30. We will start together in the morning to go over some of the logistical questions and information regarding iPad distribution and policy. Then we will work with Tom Daccord for a short session, extending some of the ideas and skills he presented last year. The remainder of the day will be for grade-level and department collaboration and planning time. Based on our discussion in the morning, we will determine how to prioritize the collaboration time.
Please plan to meet in Tegan Dixon’s room at 8:30 on Thursday.
We are hard at work on logistics and details for distribution of iPads and collection of 1:1 Program documents. We are also revisiting your questions and concerns from last spring to be sure we address as many as possible.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I am now back in the office and would be happy to help you with iPad issues in advance of the training so you can have the most productive experience possible. I look forward to seeing all of you soon!
